The Recipe for the Month of August-September is:

Chicken and Dumplings

2 – 3 pounds chicken
1/2 cup butter
2 onions
2 tablespoons Paprika
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup sour cream
1 – 16 ounce vegetable package
2 cups Bisquick
1 egg
2 cups chicken stock or bouillon
4 tablespoons flour

In a 12 inch Dutch oven with eight hot briquettes under the
oven, brown chicken and remove from oven. Brown onions,
seasonings and vegetables, blend well. Return chicken and
add broth to cover chicken.
Cook one hour, with 16 briquettes on the top and 8 on the
bottom, or until chicken is done. Wisk in 3 tablespoons flour
to thicken (or remove 1 cup liquid, blend in 3 tablespoons
flour, mix well, then return to oven, again, mixing well). Add
sour cream and then stir sparingly.
Mix dumplings using Bisquick and egg. Add enough water
to make biscuit consistency dough then spoon raw dough on
top of bubbling chicken. Replace lid and put fresh coals on
lid to brown biscuits.

Serves 6.
